Bread of Kaliwild connects with fellow Cali rap stalwarts Keak Da Sneak and URG7 on the summery new slapper, “Feels So Good,” that serves as our latest sampling of Bread’s upcoming album, ‘A Breath of Fresh Air.’
The track is both a celebration of artistic longevity—these three have been killing it for decades—and a recognition of everything that comes with the heat in the summer months. Everything seems to rise, from the temperatures to the murder rate, and all three emcees shed some light on these subjects like only they can over Therealasethic’s funky, soulful instrumental.
From one verse to the next, Bread and his guests use the summertime as their central topic to get creative and express what the season means to them. And for Bread, that means showing love to his family, getting paid, and enjoying some lemonade in the shade. When he hands the mic to Keak and URG7, we get to hear equal doses of humor and insight—Keak’s bar about infinity pools is too damn good—before the track fades as Gemini cuts up some records.
“Feels So Good” can be purchased for instant-grat off the pre-order landing of Bread’s forthcoming LP, ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ which drops Friday, Sept 03 via SomeOthaShip Connect in partnership with Fat Beats. In addition to Keak Da Sneak and URG7 the ten track LP boasts guests features and production by Sadat X, Lord Jamar, Keak da Sneak, Planet Asia, Big Shug, DJ Romes, Nottz and more. The album will also be available for purchase on vinyl and CD and falls on the heels of Declaime & Madlib’s vaulted collab LP, ‘In the Beginning Vol. 1.’

What an amazing album, BUT I can see at least one other person here that like me hasn’t reveived their vinyl copy - I’ve been waiting since last March - and hasn’t gotten any response from the seller despite multiple attempts to contact them. No tracking, no confirmation of shipping. This is really unfortunate for the artist. vsarma
